At one time or another, everyone working here did. The only problem is, you’re far from alone. We get tons of calls and applications with people just like you wanting in. We have pretty strict employment requirements. We need to scope the talent before we can decide, much like you have with searching us out.
Please don't pick up the phone and ask us if we’re hiring, just assume we will be someday. We're on the verge of creating the next best idea and wouldn’t want it interrupted. Got a portfolio of goods and you just have to show us? We require that first. Put it online, make a pdf.. hell, make a video on YouTube and send it to us. Oh, and send it with a resume. We’ll be in touch either way, it needs to stand out because talent is what we’re looking for.
You don’t need a degree from ‘College X’ – could care less. We don’t care if you have 50 years of experience. What we do care about is that you have at least one eye for talent, a burning desire to use and apply your skills, and fingers for doin’ sweet key commands.
Ahh, interns - our favorite tackling dummies. We’ve seen it all, from suits and ties to shorts and flip flops. Our internships are pretty rigorous; you will sand the floor, paint the fence, and wax the cars – all with no pay. But when you’re just about ready to throw in the towel, we’ll pull the switcheroo on you and you’ll realize you learned how a marketing department firm really works. You get the total experience, hands-on experiences. You get to work with a group of smart, caring, passionate people. And you get this for free.
In other words, you need some skills. Part of progression is being able to apply yourself and enhance your skillset, not just get a pass/fail from your professor. IRL (text-speak for you kids out there), there is no such thing.
Who knows? Learn enough.. impress us enough.. and you might just be the next ‘somebody.’ We're always looking for somebodies.
So that’s it? There might not be anything open at the time. However, we are always open to hearing your thoughts about creating new positions.* Lots of people here have done it. Once upon a time, we didn’t even know what a ‘strategist’ was. OR a graphic designer.
* Donkey Herding position already filled. See Tammy for details.
